At Greenwood we have two types of
tuck - one is lunch on Tuesdays and the other is a small tuck
on Fridays.
The Friday tuck is run by the children! As part of the school's
Economics and Management Science's program, the children sell
the items to the class – under the close supervision
of their teachers of course. Tuck also operates as a fund
raising initiative and each parent provides tuck once during
the year, giving them the opportunity to support this fun
activity which their children keenly look forward to. Greenwood
strongly encourages that the tuck remains free of junk food
and harmful additives.
The Tuesday tuck is a Grade 2 fundraising initiative. This
consists of a different meal each week. eg pies, pizzas, hamburgers,
macaroni chees or hotdogs. An order is placed on the Monday
and the food is delivered during break on Tuesdays. Also available
for the children to buy are liquifruits, super C's, health
bars and sometimes cupcakes. |
